Abstract:

Integrated Clinical, Surgical, Endocrine, Oncological, Gastrointestinal, and Criminal Justice Perspectives in Medical and Legal Practice, authored by Ganesh Shrirang Nale (Central University of Haryana) and Dr. Priyanka Sambhaji Jadhavar (Shivaji University, Kolhapur), presents a comprehensive interdisciplinary synthesis bridging modern medical science with legal and criminal justice frameworks in India. The article critically examines essential domains of clinical and surgical practice, including surgical audit methodology, hepatobiliary disorders, endocrine evaluation of thyroid diseases, oncological history-taking, bedside clinical examination techniques, gastrointestinal bleeding, and transfusion medicine. Each medical theme is discussed with emphasis on diagnostic reasoning, evidence-based management, patient safety, and procedural accountability. Beyond clinical sciences, the paper integrates criminal law principles, human rights jurisprudence, and penology, highlighting procedural safeguards for accused persons, victims, and prisoners under Indian law. The authors underscore the relevance of constitutional protections, statutory enactments, and international human rights standards in medico-legal practice. By combining healthcare delivery with legal accountability, the article demonstrates the necessity of interdisciplinary competence for clinicians, forensic experts, and medico-legal professionals operating within contemporary healthcare and justice systems.
